Installation
The installation stage for an electrical system involves the actual implementation of the project, aiming to mount and connect all necessary components for the system’s operation. Here are the main activities that take place during this stage:
- Preparing the Worksite: Ensuring a safe and organized working environment, including cleaning the area, delineating the installation space, and obtaining necessary permits, if applicable;
- Installing Foundations and Support Structures: Mounting foundations for electrical equipment, such as distribution panels and generators, and, in the case of photovoltaic systems, metal structures to support the panels;
- Laying Cables and Conductors: Routing and securing electrical cables according to the installation plan, including using conduits and channels for their protection;
- Installing Electrical Equipment: Mounting all electrical equipment according to technical specifications;
- Connecting the System: Making electrical connections between different components, ensuring that all connections are correct and comply with safety standards;
- Configuring Control Systems: Installing and configuring automated control systems, such as PLCs, SCADA systems, or BMS in the case of battery energy storage systems;
- Testing the Installation: Conducting initial tests to verify the correct operation of the system, including continuity, insulation, and equipment functionality tests;
- Maintaining Documentation: Updating technical documents, including electrical schematics, user manuals, and testing reports, to reflect the completed installation;
